“Win-Win” (Mutually Beneficial) Strategy is Guarantee of Success in RA-EU Relations

On June 14, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations received the Head of Konrad Adenauer Foundation Stiftung/Foundation (KAS) South Caucasus Regional Programme Thomas Schrapel.

Welcoming the guest in the National Assembly, Armen Ashotyan has noted that the Committee highly assesses the partner relations formed before with the Foundation and hopes for closer cooperation and implementation of joint programmes in future.

In the course of the meeting the sides touched upon the RA-EU relations, as well as the importance of signing of the new Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement with Armenia in the Eastern Partnership Summit in November. In the context, Armen Ashotyan has noted that the signing of the Agreement has a positive meaning and underscored as aresult of signing win-win (mutually beneficial) strategy created for the parties will be guarantee of success for the bilateral relations.

At the meeting, the parties also discussed the possibilities of fulfillment of mutual programs, exchanged opinions and ideas on supporting programs on promotion of RA-EU relations. In this context, the shaping and perception of the accurate vision on RA-EU relations both in Armenian and European societies.

At the meeting, a number of programs implemented at the initiative of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations were discussed. Particularly, the creation and goals of Analytical Council working group established at the initiative of the Committee were touched upon.

Thomas Schrapel welcomed the enterprising activities of the Committee and expressed hope that the further cooperation will be active and efficient.
